Nan Mahon is a journalist, free-lance writer, author, band agent and an advocate for the arts. She is an appointed member of the City of Elk Grove Committee for the Arts, a former commissioner for the Sacramento Metropolitian Arts Commission, one of the founders of the Advocates for the Arts Project. She is co-producer of the Jazz/Blues Vespers program in Elk Grove and wrote a theatrical show, A Musical History of the Blues.
